Considering Promotional Materials

Based on the guidelines provided by Donnell in the seminars, create of your plan of action to design high quality promotional materials.

Booklet

The main strength of our game is that it is original and can appeal to the players sympathy with the inspirational story of the little Elf.

We plan to emphasize the theme and story of our game through

  • Images: The vivid images of the baker medal could arouse the ambition of the player, and the cute, stereoscopic image of the little Elf make the whole game experience more immersed.
  • Text: To properly introduce our game, we believe that we need to add some instruction guideline in our guide page, as well as some brief description showing the goal and tricks of the current game.

To better render our game atmosphere, we plan to include

  • Images: The image of the cakes, the special ingredient of the cake: the chocolate and the vanilla;
  • Animations: The image of the cakes that pops up layer by layer; The hat of the Elf that shows his progress.
  • Text: To ensure a cohesive presentation of our game experience, story, and engagement in our booklet we plan to create a booklet with

We understand that

  • animations are important to involve the viewers
  • static elements must not move in any way in an animation
  • we are not allowed to alter the design of the template without Kazato's formal approval

Poster

Our poster will be in

  • landscape format
  • portrait format

Reminder: in an online course format it is highly recommended to prepare landscape posters as the audience will likely browse them using a screen in landscape format.

Our target audience is all kinds of audience (mostly centered on teenagers 5-16 since it is a puzzle game with cartoon design)

Our main message is people could only grow up by their step-by-step effort.

To render our main message appealing to our target audience we plan to connect each level with a rank of baker so that the Elf could gradually grow up after winning each level.

To represent our game atmosphere using a single static image we will present the Elf's Cake Shop with its element to the user as the main component of the poster.

To help viewers better "navigate" our poster while recreating the atmosphere of your game we plan to add a game map on the poster and illustrate elementary game property directly on the corresponding position at the map.

Trailer We plan to

  • Have do the voiceover in the video because we have a fascinating story about the Elf and it is really necessary for a speaker to speak it out and appeal to the emotion of the audience.
  • Use a sound track from
  • Use and show to demonstrate the features of our game
