Summary

Unresponsive cursors after gnome overview

Steps to trigger the problem:

  1. Open Zed and maximize it
  2. Go into overview
  3. Go back into Zed

Actual Behavior:
The mouse cursor stays on default arrow pointer and doesn't change e.g. to text cursor when I hover over the text. It only happens when Zed is maximized and there is another window that triggers cursor change. Window borders make it work normal too.

Expected Behavior:
When I click on the program, it should work.

Zed Version and System Specs

Zed: v0.172.8 (Zed)
OS: Linux X11 arch unknown
Memory: 15.4 GiB
Architecture: x86_64
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti || NVIDIA || 570.86.16

Does this work for other apps? I don't think we handle things differently on the Zed side; though X11 cursor handling is a little crazy so it's hard to be sure.

Yes, it works on other apps, but not on Zed
