I wonder if it would be possible to add the following function that is available in MPC-BE to QMplay2:
In the Pan&Scan menu in MPC-BE (as can it be seen on the picture below) there is the possibility to separately stretch the video horizontally and vertically, and also move the image on the screen. This function makes it possible to stretch the image freely, in real time to fit the screen. It works very precisely, so it makes possible on any screen (old 4:3 screens and modern 16:9 screens as well) to make any image to fill the screen completely. (The 0.01 value for stretching and 0.05 value for moving allows this.)
