Describe the bug
The brightness blend mode has no effect and only shows black. It was working as expected in 2025.02

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
(and/or link to a short video showing the problem with audio track describing what you are doing)
Create two layers and put an effect on the top layer with the color white and blend mode set to brightness. On the second layer put an on effect of any color other than white.

Expected behavior
The top layer effect should take on the color of the lower layer.
