Runs without any UI!

I was using PulseEffects from APT. I deleted it using apt purge then installed flatpak version but after launching it. I unable to see any ui for it!!! Even if I launched it using terminal I get nothing!

It doesn't work even if I killed the running processes and run it once again using

/usr/bin/flatpak run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=easyeffects-wrapper com.github.wwmm.easyeffects

Something may be happening to the executable wrapper being used by the Flatpak package.

The wrapper can be bypassed by running

G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=easyeffects flatpak run --command=easyeffects com.github.wwmm.easyeffects

After core name: pipewire-0 there should be the following lines

pipe_manager.cpp:1311	found metadata: settings
pipe_manager.cpp:1311	found metadata: default

Usually when the default metadata is not available the reason is the package pipewire-pulse not being installed. But I am not sure this is the source of the problem here. Even when the default metadata is missing there are more lines in the logs.

Are you sure you have PipeWire properly configured? I am not sure just installing the flatpak package will do this. As you were using Pulseaudio before you may have to do some PipeWire configuration before EasyEffects works.

What I've to do? All the apps using audio work fine.

Server Name: pulseaudio

Thank you guys. I successfully enabled Pipewire using this guide now I'm struggling EasyEffects itself because it refuses to keep on after closing the window although I applied rest permissions as mentioned in the message dialog!

flatpak permission-reset com.github.wwmm.easyeffects

Any way, I'll try to search in this forum about a solution for this issue.

On Linux mint with xfce try install the gnome portal:

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends xdg-desktop-portal-gnome

Then reboot.
