FEATURE REQUEST: Multiple control-planes in different locations

There is a possibility to define different locations fo worker nodes with

worker_node_pools:
- name: small-static
  instance_type: cpx21
  instance_count: 4
  location: hel1

But there is no such possibility to do the same for masters_pool (control-planes).

It's been a while but I finally have a week off from work next week so I can dedicate some time to this. So I expect to add this feature in the coming week if all goes according to plan.

@PReimers See my update in that thread. I will be implement a more effective fix for that specific problem so you can just rescale the server after draining it, and uncordon it once rescaled and rebooted, which would be nicer and easier.

Not yet. I have limited time I can dedicated to the project and there are higher priorities. This hasn't been requested often so far.

This is now done in v2.2.3 🎉

I am closing this issue but feel free to open a new one if you run into any issues with this feature. See release notes, there are also instructions on how to convert a zonal cluster to a regional one!
