Idea to incorporate Windows Media Center Keyboard Shortcuts

The program has been working great ever since this latest version was released.

I am interested in adding a new option to the program that would be for a 
Windows Media Center remote making buttons that would do the keyboard shortcuts 
for WMC

I would like to do it myself but I don't really get how to use the source code. 
What do I need to start working with this code?
