I’m just getting started with HA and still learning a lot, but I came across this integration and got it working flawlessly. Thank you for your time and effort in developing this. I just want to understand the logic behind the API call. For example, if I set up a league only, there may be more than 1 game that day, but from what I was able to gather, the integration will only return the last game on the list from ESPN’s website for that league. So how exactly does team tracker work on returning the games? I’m really just curious to understand how it all works. Thank you again.

If you are using the * wildcard, it will use the following logic:

• If a game is in progress, return it. If there are multiple in progress, it's unpredictable which one will be returned..
• If no games are in progress but one is upcoming (I think in the next 20 minutes) return that one. If multiple start at the same time, it's unpredictable.
• Otherwise return the game that started (and presumably ended) most recently.

Ok, that makes sense, thank you David for explaining it. When I had looked at it first, when using the wildcard, it appeared to only display the last game for that day for that league, but random makes sense.
Is it possible in any way to have all the games for a league displayed when using a wild card? Or is that a limitation of the API or ESPN?

The sensor only returns results for a single game and the card can only display a single game.
