I see that in v5 pagination has been completly removed. I have managed in my fork to utilise https://github.com/hugs7/tiptap-extension-pagination in version 4.6.0 which as more performant than the original and have created a PR for table support. (there is a video in the PR.

Will the page functionatliy be re-instated or is it gone for good?

Removing the pagination feature was an incredibly difficult decision, and we haven’t made a final determination yet. As you know, implementing pagination in a web-based rich text editor is a very challenging innovation. Cassie contributed a significant amount of code to Umo Editor to make this possible, making a tremendous contribution to the community. However, it also posed many challenges, especially performance-related issues. For this reason, we decided to temporarily remove pagination support in version 5, which may potentially be a permanent removal, though this is not a final decision.

As the most important holiday in China—Spring Festival—is approaching, we may not have time to thoroughly test the extension you mentioned. However, if you could provide an example demonstrating the use of version 4.6 along with the tiptap-extension-pagination, it would be greatly appreciated. This would help us evaluate whether pagination could still be supported in version 5.

Therefore, we will not be using [tiptap-extension-pagination](https://github.com/hugs7/tiptap-extension-pagination) in version 5. If you have any better suggestions, feel free to discuss them here.
