Low-code / no-code contributions

Hacktoberfest 2022 rewards low-code and non-code contributions such as talks, blog posts and organizing events.

Eligible contributions according to the Hacktoberfest guidelines include, for example:

  • Copy editing
  • User experience testing
  • Talks or presentations
  • Blog posts
  • Podcasts
  • Case studies
  • Organizing Hacktoberfest events

Contributions:

New Umbraco packages

Eligible contributions are brand new packages (Umbraco plugins) that have not been released on Our Umbraco before October 2022.
If you're interested in creating a new package and need some inspiration, have a look at Lee's list of package ideas (or add your own!).

  • 2022-10-04 - Dennis Heutinck - New package - https://github.com/Infocaster/ETag - Created a new package that integrates ETag support with Umbraco content pages
  • 2022-10-21 - Lotte Pitcher - New package - on GitHub / on Our - "Admin Only Package": a new package that allows properties to be set for only Administrators to view and edit
  • 2022-10-23 - Andy Boot - New package - https://github.com/AndyBoot/Our.Umbraco.Indexy - A new package to add any number of custom Examine indexes at appsettings.json level. You can add add as many or little fields as you like per field definition type, or general system fields.
  • 2022-10-31 - Adam Werner - New package - on GitHub / on Our - xStatic Deploy to AWS S3: An xStatic plugin for deploying an Umbraco web site to an AWS S3 bucket
  • 2022-10-31 - Adam Werner - New package - on GitHub / on Our - AWS S3 Media File System Provider: The AWS S3 Storage provider has an implementation of the Umbraco IFileSystem that connects to an AWS S3 Storage container.
