Summary

Is this failing because it wants the captcha, or is something else wrong?

The message is "Something unexpected happened"

I tried signing in for the first time in November and got the same message.

I tried signing in again today and the same problem.

It's worth noting I have 2FA enabled on my account. Is this blocking the sign-in?

I think Twitch has changed the auth APIs a while ago. Someone, maybe you (not sure) recommended that I add a way to let user enter auth token directly here instead of logging with credentials.

Let me know if being able to add auth token directly would be helpful?

I think it might be helpful

I've moved to other avenues for channel points while I ran into this issue, so I won't benefit from this but I think it could be useful for new people using the application

I originally opened the API sign in ticket because I ran into this issue a few months ago, but wasn't too sure if that was because I'd recently changed location or not.

I'm not planning to advertise other repo's in this issue thread. It would be disrespectful.

Hey!

I am sorry I am unable to maintain this project.

Twester was built thanks to https://github.com/Tkd-Alex/Twitch-Channel-Points-Miner-v2 and they were always doing a good job at maintaining it so it still might be working as expected. Although it's completed CLI based and no UI. Maybe @seth-rah can share something better. Go ahead @seth-rah I don't mind. :)

Once again, apologies for not being able to maintain this project.

I mean this repo has been abandoned since 3yrs and the author won't be updating/fixing it. Sharing a different method wouldn't affect him bruh.

Anyhow he answered. You can keep gatekeeping on the internet 😆
