We can update the package to remove entries after they've been made compatible again. Right now |

Hi there and a happy new year to all of you! I'm trying to clean up after my past contributions that are somehow lingering in toltec.
tldr;
See last section.
Who I am
I'm the maintainer of 'reMarvin', which is a SAS-Script bind-mounting User Profiles and running
gocryptfs
to encrypt/decrypt them if desired. I joined the community when I first got my rM2 during the pandemic when contributing went very smoothly for me. These days, contribution and participation have become more difficult for me and I'm trying to figure out how to manage things in the future and I'm asking for your input regarding my lingering contributions here.Losing touch
Unfortunately I've been very occupied with things in the meatspace and left some clutter behind. Additionaly, after updating to 3.8 (corrupted by the built-in straight lines feature) I was unable to properly keep things updated due to loss of rm2fb.
And as a terrible truth, I have to accept that Discord seems to be the place to be for many but isn't a place for me at all (which would be a separate discussion). Maybe there are other ways of properly staying in the loop - if so, I'd be happy to hear about them. I couldn't spot any, unfortunately. The Matrix bridge doesn't properly seem to work.
A while ago, I updated my installed packages and noticed that
gocryptfs
had been removed and added to thetoltec-deletions
list which I first had to spot as the culprit. The correstponding commit said that it wouldn't work in 3.x but I think the only problem was, that I hadn't updated the package script after 3.x came out. I've renamed and updated the package script for myself and it works fine but I couldn't just update it because I didn't understand the politics around this deletions file.Taking responsibility
I'm not going to be a Discord regular and hence won't be able to participate in discussions there properly. I'd like to find a clean way to either remove or update my contributions (namely I'm still set as maintainer for
gocryptfs
andinnernet
on thestable
branch). I'm considering to publish my own repo with a few packages that can be copied over if anyone wants to do that.If the entries in
toltec-deletions
could somehow be removed, that would save me some workarounds like renaming packages. Do you see a way to do that?Apart from all this: Thanks for all the great work this community does. I've learned a lot here and I'm a bit sad about the gravitation towards Discord. But I can see that it's very important for many contributors and while I don't understand it, I can respect that. I hope the community stays alive and well and if this is the way to achieve it, so be it :)
Greetings, plan5
