Why We Reduced Features in the Free VersionWhen we launched our subscription plans last year, we kept many features available in the free version and allowed commercial use, expecting that companies using it would purchase a percentage of paid licenses to support our development. Running and maintaining high-quality software involves significant expenses, including development and ongoing support. However, we’ve observed that many companies continue to rely solely on the free version without transitioning to paid licenses. To ensure the long-term sustainability of our business and to improve and support our software effectively, we have decided to introduce restrictions on the free version. Our pricing remains competitive, with the starter plan costing just We understand that not everyone may agree with this decision, but it’s a necessary step to align with our business needs and continue delivering value to our users. Changes to free version from Feb 24th, 2025.
The free version will no longer support the following editors and will only be supported in VS Code:
Free Version Will Require Login Soon
We have observed numerous companies violating our free version terms by continuing to use it despite restrictions. Businesses are not permitted to use the free version. To prevent further violations, we plan to introduce a login requirement.
Previous Changes (Nov 2024)
We are introducing two new plans: the
Community Plan
and theLite Free Plan
. These adjustments help prevent misuse of the current free version. The reason for these changes was explained in the comment belowFree Version Limitations (Effective November 20th, 2024)
