Error saving: [WinError 32] The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

Hello, I'm trying to save my file before I run predictions but I am running into this error, and I don't really understand what it means or how to troubleshoot. Can someone please help me interpret the error and explain how to fix this? I know it says to just save the project with a different name/format but I'm trying to understand why this error is coming up in the first place. Thank you!

Hello @kayannet,

From the message, it seems the slp file might be open in multiple places - causing a lock on the file. Do you have the file open in multiple places? Is this a remote file that multiple people can access at the same time - and if so is it possible someone else is accessing the file as you are trying to save it? Those are some plausible reason I could see for the error.

Side note: (On mac 13.5) I tested opening the same slp file twice, making changes, and saving without running into error. I still need to test if this simple case recreates the above on Windows.

Are you able to Save As to a new filename?
