Merci pour ce clavier, mais malheureusement il ne connait pas systématiquement l'apostrophe (qu'il faut aller chercher à chaque fois), et c'est vraiment dommage parce que beaucoup de mots en français utilisent l'apostrophe... Par exemple, mission impossible pour taper intuitivement "c'est" ou "qu'il".

Unfortunately the keyboard can not recognize automaticaly the apostrophy, and in French we use it very often (for example in words such as "c'est" or "l'ami"...)

C'est = 21378
qu'il = 78145
l'ami = 51264

Just make sure to select the correct contraction. 21 could be both c' and ç'. The same for 51, it could be either j' or l'. Other than that, you shouldn't have to select anything manually.

If hope this helps. If you are still experiencing problems, please post a video. There may be a bug affecting your device.

Also, make sure you are using v40.0 or higher. Automatic contractions were not available in early versions of TT9.

Thank you. To me, your keyboard is fantastic. But what shoud I do about those codes ? And what about the countless words unsing the apostrophy ?
Does a csv list exist, so that we could import it ?

Oh, I thought you were experienced in the T9 method, so I didn't go into detail. Sorry! What I meant is, to type "c'est", you have to press the numbers 2-1-3-7-8. In other words, just keep typing the words you have in mind and whenever you need to type an apostrophe, hit the 1-key. In most cases, TT9 will guess you want and will not insert a comma (the default first character on 1).

For maximum flexibility, the dictionary contains "words" like: j', qu', or even -ce. This allows an infinite number of combinations with the "regular" words. For example, you can combine est + -ce by typing 378 + 123. Or, a more complex example, you can combine quatre + -vingt using: 782873 + 184648.

Note that there is a bug in the current version that prevents the word order to update. For example, C' is the second suggestion and even if you select it, it will not become the first one the next time. I will fix this problem in v42.0.

You have already imported it by loading the French dictionary. And if you are really curious how the French dictionary file looks like, you can find it here. That's the beauty of the open-source software, you can review everything you want. Just browse the repo.

Ok, it is more simple than I thought.
I notice it is rather difficult to write words with a capital letter (Marie, Greece...)
Thx

However, these two particular words should be OK. Do they appear incorrectly or some others? I am trying to understand if it is a dictionary problem or something else.

Just in case, check if you have disabled the "Automatic Capital Letters" setting. It is in: Settings -> Keypad -> Predictive Mode (I don't remember the setting names in French, sorry).

Either way, problems or not, you can use Shift to toggle the text case before starting to type a word. Pay attention to the Français/français/FRANÇAIS label, it indicates how the next word will come out. If it is not what you want, you can change it with Shift.

If you realize the word appears incorrectly after you have started typing, you can still press Shift, to change it on-the-fly.

Also, make sure to check the manual. It will probably answer more things you were wondering about.
