I'm a German physicist with a focus on research of magnetic materials.
Since I do magnetic simulations using C++ I need a simple way to obtain the required dependencies. One way to obtain dependencies is via vcpkg.
Since science, in general, requires easy access to 3rd party libraries, I thought helping with vcpkg is time well spend. This made me one of the top, not MS employed, contributors to vcpkg and I contributed ports for e.g. Qt, VTK, ParaView.
