an option to see which folders are already archived?

I was wondering if there could be an option to assess whether a specific folder was already archived-- but without actually starting the archiving process. Could this be done at the folder level? Or would it only work at file level?

And perhaps additionally, a useful tool would be to do opposite: to see the archived files for a certain directory, without actually initiating the restoring process.
