This most certainly is a stupid question but... can I use a swagger json format to import directly to slate ? #1310

Newbie here. I'm looking for a tool to create a visually appealing API Reference Doc. Using swagger to generate automatic documentation and then import that json to some tool that make it more appealing, and customizable, than swagger UI. I've tried and really enjoy slate but I don't get how do you import api documentation? Do you write by hand ? |

There's no such thing as a stupid question. Slate subscribes to the philosophy of doing one thing and doing it well, so you need another tool to convert OpenAPI (swagger) files to the markdown used by Slate. One such tool is widdershins. There's a (slightly out of date) blog post comparing several such tools here |
