Randomly Lost Settings in Jira Cloud - Jira Assistant plugin

This morning somehow we have noticed that our settings in Jira Assistant 2.58 were gone. a couple of us are evaluating the tool and have setup user groups and then customized the default dashboard. Everything has been working fine. However, this morning those customizations were lost.

I have found on the FAQ's there is a "Settings is lost when i reinstall Jira Assistant?" but as far as I can tell, looking at the Plugin Audit Log we didn't reinstall the plugin last night. I do see an automatical update on Feb 18 2024 that was performed by Shridhar TL, but nothing in the last day.

are there other events that could cause the local user settings to get lost and if so how do we prevent this?

are there ways to diagnose what happened to investigate this issue further?
