Overview:

Dumb Charades version 1.0 is the initial release of the application. It is a Python-based game developed using the Pygame library, designed to display words related to different states and cities in India. The game includes features such as word display, hint provision, countdown timer, and user interaction controls.

Key Features:

  • Display words related to Indian states and cities.
  • Provide hints for the displayed words.
  • Start a countdown timer for each word.
  • Allow users to change the displayed word.
  • Enable users to exit the application.

Improvements:

  • Enhanced user interface for better usability.
  • Added sound effects for timer alerts.
  • Improved stability and performance.

Known Issues:

  • None at the moment.

System Requirements:

  • Python 3.x
  • Pygame library
  • NumPy library

Installation Instructions:

  1. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/shahiakhilesh1304/DumbCharades.git
  2. Install required Python libraries: pip install pygame numpy
  3. Navigate to the project directory and run the executable file corresponding to the desired timer duration (dumbcharade-30s or dumbcharade-1min).

You can maximize the size of the UI to full screen by pressing F11.

When 20 seconds are left, it will start making a sound, and at the end of the timer, it will play a buzzer.
