This PR updates the pypi release mechanism to use GitHub as a trusted publisher on PyPI. This works using OpenID Connect and short-lived tokens and is now the recommended authentication method for publishing on PyPI.

Changes summary

  • token-based authentication -> trusted publisher
  • require tests to succeed before publishing
