Tournaments

Tournaments are one of the Oort endgames (the other being Challenge scenarios like Planetary Defense). They are symmetric PvP scenarios where your AI fights against another player's (example: Fighter Duel). Each pair of players in a tournament is run through hundreds of simulations and the results summarized in an Elo-like score.

To enter a tournament, first defeat the reference AI in the scenario. Then in the "Mission Complete" screen, click the "Submit to tournament" button. Submissions to the tournament generally close at 9 PM Pacific on Sundays. The tournament will be run shortly afterwards and the results posted to Discord. From the results page players can run simulations for any pair of AIs from the tournament, or run simulations pitting their own AI against a tournament player's.

Discord roles (username colors) are awarded for entering, winning, or taking second place in a tournament.
