things we should still do:

run hlint (this might include fixing some warnings)
stan for more static analysis: https://github.com/kowainik/stan
check documentation
speed up the current build (use caching, perhaps don't use docker-compose but setup stack directly on the machine?)
run a matrix build/test on several ghc versions
run a matrix build on several OS
run hackage release directly from actions

PRs for these changes are welcome. please write in this ticket which aspect you want to tackle, I'd rather not do this in one mega PR :)
