error on make install ruby 2.7.8 on sles 15.6

Steps to reproduce the behavior

OS: SLES15 SP6
Ruby: 2.7.8
ruby-build: 20250215

1. On SLES 15.6, install ruby 2.7.8
2. run ruby-build
3. ruby-build builds openssl and also ruby
4. make install failed with error: openssl.so: undefined symbol: EC_GROUP_new_curve_GF2m

Expected vs. actual behavior

Build and install ruby 2.7.8

Hi, the error message hints at some problem with Ruby's "openssl" extension at runtime, but I'm not sure what causes it. Please note that both Ruby 2.7.8 and OpenSSL 1.1 are EoL (end-of-life) and that compiling them on modern systems might require some extra work on your part. Good luck!
