Installation

Download the XLRisk Excel addin to a location of your choice.

• Windows Users

  1. In a Windows machine, the recommeded location is C:\users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns. You would need to enable the display of hidden folders in Windows Explorer to see this folder. This is done by checking the "Hidden items" option under the View menu.
  2. Open Excel.
  3. Add the directory containing XLRisk.xlam to the list of trusted locations in Excel. This is done by selecting File, Options, Trust Center, Trust Center Settings... (button on the right), Trusted Locations, Add new location (button at the bottom).
  4. Select File, Options, Addins and at the bottom of the dialog box press the "Go..." button to Manage Excel addins.
  5. If you do not see XLRisk in the list of the Add-ins dialog box, press the "Browse" button and select the downloaded addin. If asked whether to save the addin in the default location, respond yes. Otherwise just check the XLRisk addin checkbox and press OK.
  6. Once XLRisk has been installed and loaded you should be able to see a [new tab] (Ribbon_Tab) in the Excel Ribbon called "XLRisk".

• Mac Users

  After downloading the XLRisk (One file named "XLRisk.xlam"):

  1. Open Excel.
  2. From the Excel menu do Tools, Excel addins.
  3. Press "Browse" and select the downloaded file.
  4. Once XLRisk has been installed and loaded you should be able to see a [new tab] (Ribbon_Tab) in the Excel Ribbon called "XLRisk".

You can use the Excel Add-ins dialog box to load and unload the XLRisk add-in.
