Resizing Panes with Mouse

Is it possible to resize panes by clicking and dragging? Tmux supports this out of the box.
A bit earlier I sent a pull request to Prompt-Toolkit that added support for dragging with the mouse and right clicking etc that, if accepted would give the input capabilities needed for this.
Would this be a feature worth pursuing, and if so how could it be done? I'll submit a pull request with this feature if I can figure out how to add it.
