Releases: peterson-tim-j/AWAPer
Minor update - File download errors fixed
Minor update - file download scheme changed
The following minor fixes have been addressed:
- Download now uses RCurl package. Grid downloads are now fully functional
- "maptools" dependency removed (deprecated) and replaced with "sf" package
- Error in ET estimation caused the site elevation and coordinates to be omitted. Bug fixed.
AWAPer - daily, weekly, monthly extraction and mapping
This version now allows the extraction of data at time steps greater than daily (e.g. weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual) using user-defined functions for aggregating the daily time-step data. This also allows derivation of spatial variability at the user defined time step, e.g. annual time step spatial variance. The data can now also be mapped at the user defined time step. These features are demonstrated in the package vignettes. The runtime of this version should also be improved - which was achieved by improving the performance of raster::rasterize() calls.
This version was accepted onto CRAN on 18 February 2021 (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/AWAPer/index.html).
The following examples demonstrates these new features:
First submission to The Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN)
This is the second release of AWAPer and the first version to be accepted into the The Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN). New features of this release include:
- Multiple types of evapotranspiration can be derived using Evapotranspiration package. See here for examples.
- The analysis of spatial data can be undertaken with a user-defined function.
- The data storage requirements have been substantially reduced.
First Release
This is the first release of AWAPer. The extracted data has been tested by multiple users and a paper demonstrating the data reliability is in review. Key features of this release include:
- Area weighted catchment average daily time-series can be extracted.
- Point daily time-series can be extracted.
- Morton’s wet environment potential evapotranspiration can be calculated using Evapotranspiration package
- Runtime for data extractions has been optimised.
