If you found asciimatics useful, why not share your results with others in this wiki? I have found that asciinema makes life incredibly easy to record and publish ASCII animations.
Note that ncurses appears to play badly with it, though, so you probably want to use blessed to resolve recording errors. For an example of how to use it, see the not_curses.py sample code.
