Probably I missed some discussions about the relaunch of the website, so I apologize if I open a Pandoras box again.

Generally I like the look and feel. The first impressions are classy and professional.

• For me it is not a re-design, it is a new website for a another product (compared to what the old website offered before). Especially the front page has nothing to do with the localization solutions we are working on. I think it's very hard to understand what this is all about. Lix is the evolution of inlang. Now inlang is Lix. If you want that inlang develops into Lix, don't burn the bridges about the story how it's evolving into Lix. In my opinion this will confuse a lot early adopters and fans.
• The editor is linked very prominently, but where does a non-technical person find information about it? The main navigation has nothing which relates.
• There is the famous Contact Sales button which is a mailto link. What do we sell? Did we leave the phase where we gather early adopters? Do we have gathered enough fans on Discord? Do we explain very well, what problem our product can solve, so I want to contact sales?
• The slider almost brags with hard to achieve integrations. Change control for pdfs or docs (I guess Microsoft Office stuff) and payments? Are we really ready for this?
• Imagine this situation: I come to the inlang website. The front page impresses me. I want to go global. I'm now happy to discover what inlang has to offer. I start to navigate through the menu. All is to unspecific, so I start with Application. "Coming soon".. well let's go on to Document. "No results yet" hmm is it broken? What's results? About what I get notified if I subscribe?

In my opinion the current inlang website should have been the lix website, like the monorepo has a inlang and a lix folder.

Changed to "view on Github" because you're right. We ain't selling anything (yet).

The mix of white and dark modes led to user complaints and is a nightmare to maintain.

To increase iteration speed on the website, remove dark mode/light mode website only.

@inlang/website sorry guys, had the feeling when i saw dark mode being mixed with white mode in early prototypes but didn't speak up to unblock the website. The fact that I, and probably everyone else, can't change the landing page without hacking colors is a no-go.

Maybe the contrast is a bit extreme, but having dark and light sections on a landing page is standard. I would fix more crucial things first. The only themeable element is the header. We can make it more light but let's do communication first.

Leave out payment for now

Global Payments will come, but the solution vastly differs from other categories that make use of lix.

We should focus on lix apps aka everything content related that needs "create -> review -> automate"

I agree, the amount of categories can be dynamic, if we want to test something or get at the point where we have new modules ready we can just add it. So let's remove it.

I already mentioned this multiple times. I don't think we are good prepared for this. People will not believe us or will drop-off because we do nothing to inform them about what it can potentially do.

Currently, I imagine 100% drop-off. It's just the same boring global "x" site 5x — really? That's a joke! People will laugh at us.

@inlang/team How can we fix this?

Proposal

Either we provide arguments, informations & more to excite people or we simply are not ready for dedicated pages for non existing stuff.

At the same time, inlang's current functionality does not sell good, as @openscript also mentioned. We should bring that back in a section on the home screen.

Just a disclaimer

Half of the communication is not in place yet because the marketplaces are empty/ need modules that make the communication. (Like guides, ...) That needs to be clear that you find that in the marketplace.
