I've installed Elementary OS Horus on an old laptop with a broken space bar. From an external keyboard, I'm able to execute the following shell script which uses xmodmap to swap the functionality of the right super button with the space bar so that I can use the right super button as space:
I have also successfully set this up to execute automatically when I log in from System Settings -> Applications -> Startup.
However, when I put the laptop to sleep, and later wake up the laptop, the xmodmap changes are gone, and I have to run the script manually to fix it again.
Is there a way to get this script to run automatically and fix the keys when I wake the system up? Alternatively, is there some other way to make this type of fix that would work properly both on login and on wakeup?
