After talking with multiple cooperatives about their existing services, services they have had requested in the past, and things they imagine for the future, we have a series of needs and possible solutions that can be turned into a feature.
Needs:
a. There is no ability to use invoicing
b. There is no way to use Edenred and other ticket restaurant solutions
c. It is difficult to know who bought what in a large order shared by multiple people
d. There is no communication of how many orders have been made, how much CO2 saved, etc
e. It needs to have different characteristics about delivery for a restaurant that also offers normal service
i. Delivery fee
ii. Zone
iii. Price for restaurants
iv. Time slots availability
v. Lead time
f. How to share an order between people easily (not passing around one persons phone)
g. Restaurants may have special dishes that they don't want in this service because they are limited or difficult. Example: it is ok if one is ordered, but we cannot encourage businesses to order 10 by surprise, but we also cannot expect the restaurant to tell us how many they have each day.
Essentially, it became clear very quickly that while it might be possible to patch together a service with existing software, but there are many needs that are not being fulfilled by the current technology.
Services Previously Requested
Bike Cafeteria
A business owner can make an account that is shared with a manager. They can either upload money into a fund monthly using stripe, or they can pay for each order with the company debit card when in check out from an order. They want to make it easy to buy lunch for a client meeting, or have a cafeteria like big companies have, but without investing in a kitchen (so we bring the cafeteria to you).
They will need to make group orders to multiple restaurants and have access to a dashboard that shows them these orders, and has their invoices attached to each order. It should also show CO2 data and so on.
Ticket Restaurants and DIY
A business owner has employees who benefit from the ticket restaurants solution. They want to encourage employees to use our service as a nice way to make their employees happy without paying lots of taxes. In this case, they pay the local cooperative an amount monthly that the cooperative bills with a normal invoice, and they have a free delivery code they distribute to their employees. This allows employees to use edenred and other ticket solutions at any time of day and any day of the week but with free deliveries.
Possible Solutions
The ability to make a series of pricing, timing, and all other rules that apply to business accounts. These rules only apply when an order is started by an administrator of the business account (who then shares the order with the others). These rules are above the normal rules, but only apply in this circumstance.
The ability to be able to associate free delivery codes and other promo codes specifically with users that are associated with a business account.
The ability to allow other people to add to a group order with a link or QR code
The ability to see who has ordered what in the order summary of a group order
The ability to upload invoices manually to an order that was made by a business account, which a business owner can then download. (Manually because different cooperatives have different invoicing systems, but automating would be great someday)
Like number 1, the ability to limit or modify the menu of restaurants that appear when seen from a user that is making an order from a business account so that only the products we believe are useful for this use case are in this menu.
The ability for administrators to see information about the history of orders, CO2 saved, packages reused, etc
Other Random Stuff
