The First World Vocational College Skills Competition featured a total of 15 competition events. Chinese representative teams were formed by the top six institutions from the previous National Vocational College Skills Competition and Luban Workshop. They teamed up with foreign institutions (including international students studying in China) in a “1+1” partnership. 首届世界职业院校技能大赛共设15个比赛项目，由上届全国职业院校技能大赛前6名的院校及鲁班工纺组成中方代表队，与国外院校（含来华留学生）采取 “1+1”方式联合组队。
After receiving the competition notice, Hubei Polytechnic Institute and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our university actively collaborated. Under the careful guidance of the instructors, they overcame unfavorable factors such as the scorching summer heat and pandemic - related lockdowns and actively prepared for the competition for more than three months. After nearly nine hours of intense competition, the joint team of our university and Hubei Polytechnic Institute finally won an Excellence Award in the competition. 接到赛事通知后，湖北工业职业技术学院与我校国际合作交流处积极联动，在指导老师的认真指导下，克服暑期高温和疫情封控等不利因素，积极备战了三个多月，经过近9个小时紧张激烈的比赛，最终我校与湖北工业职业技术学院联队在比赛获得了优胜奖。

Among them, the competition - based category features five competition unit categories, including Equipment Manufacturing, Transportation, Energy, Power and Materials, Electronics and Information Technology, and Finance and Trade, with 16 higher vocational competition events. The exhibition - based category has three competition unit categories, namely Made in China and Traditional Culture, Master Craftsmen, and Intangible Cultural Projects, which showcase China's traditional and modern skills and culture, as well as the development achievements of vocational education in the new era through on - site exhibitions and recorded broadcasts.
The participants in the World Vocational College Competition mainly consist of the winners of the National Vocational College Skills Competition in 2021 and students from the domestic and overseas partner institutions of Luban Workshops. To promote the integration and inter - communication of vocational education between China and foreign countries, exchanges and cooperation among institutions, and friendship among teachers and students, the participating teams are formed in a "hand - in - hand" way between Chinese and foreign parties. Sino - foreign joint teams: The competition is carried out in the form of joint teams, each including one Chinese team and one foreign team. Each team completes the competition tasks independently, and the final score is the average of the two teams' scores.
Mixed teams: Each participating team includes Chinese students and international students in China (or foreign students), with a roughly equal proportion of Chinese and foreign members.
Among them, Chinese participants must be full - time students enrolled in higher vocational colleges; foreign participants (including international students in China) must be students enrolled in relevant majors of vocational institutions. At the same time, international students in domestic undergraduate institutions are encouraged to participate. For the competition events piloting the model of teachers and students competing together, the participating teachers must be full - time in - service teachers of higher vocational colleges.

On August 11, 2022, the "Internet of Things Technology Application" event of the First World Vocational College Skills Competition, jointly hosted by 35 organizations including the Ministry of Education, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, officially started. On August 20, the closing ceremony of the World Vocational College Skills Competition was held in Tianjin. On March 10, 2023, the VR team from Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College, formed by "hand - in - hand" cooperation between Guangxi teachers and students and international students, received the gold - medal prize money from the Ministry of Education and Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College for the First World Vocational College Skills Competition. The team consists of 2 Chinese students and 2 international students. The international students are responsible for the design of the VR project, while the Chinese students are responsible for the implementation of the VR project.
2022年6月，首届世界职业院校技能大赛（简称世校赛）将在天津和江西南昌举办。比赛项目分为竞赛类和展演类，其中竞赛类设装备制造、交通运输、能源动力与材料、电子与信息技术、财经商贸等5个赛项单元，16个高职赛项；展演类设中国制造与传统文化、能工巧匠、非物质文化项目等3个赛项单元，以现场展演和录播展示等形式，集中展示我国传统与现代技能和文化、新时代职业教育的发展成就等。 世校赛参赛选手以2021年全国职业院校技能大赛国赛获奖选手及鲁班工坊国内外建设院校为主。为促进中外职业教育互融互通、院校交流合作、师生增进友谊，参赛队采用中外“手拉手”组队方式。具体分为中外联队和混合编队两种。 中外联队：比赛以联队为单位，包括1个中国队和1个外国队，各自完成比赛任务，最终成绩取平均值。 混合编队：每个参赛队包括中国选手和在华留学生（或外国选手），中外比例大致相当。 其中中国选手须为高等职业学校全日制在籍学生；外国选手（包括在华留学生）须为职业类院校相关专业在籍学生，同时，鼓励国内本科院校在华留学生参加；试点实行师生同赛模式的赛项，参赛教师须为高等职业院校在职专职教师 2022年8月8日，首届世界职业院校技能大赛在天津电子信息职业技术学院鸣锣开赛。 2022年8月11日，由教育部、国家发展改革委、科学技术部、工业和信息化部、天津市人民政府等35家单位联合主办的首届世界职业院校技能大赛“物联网技术应用”赛项正式开赛。 8月20日，世界职业院校技能大赛闭幕式在天津举行。 本届大赛以“技炫青春 能创未来”为主题，共产生15金15银15铜 2023年3月10日，由广西师生和留学生“手拉手”组建的柳州职业技术学院VR团队，获得教育部、柳职给予的首届世界职业院校技能大赛金牌奖金，该团队由2名中国学生和2名留学生组成，留学生负责完成VR项目设计任务，中国学生负责完成VR项目实现任务。
