Is it possible to debug a test similar to GHDL (http://ghdl.free.fr/ghdl/Debugging-VHDL-programs.html)?

Not at the moment. I suppose you could debug using GDB similar to how GHDL recommends in that link (break on jit_abort) but that's not something I'd want to document or recommend to users.

I think in the future I'd like to build some debugging capabilities on top of the TCL shell, but that is still work-in-progress.
