Can whe get the quick "share public link" in right clic menu in windows back ?

last version of windows app replace the "share public link" in right clic menu by a "share options" opening new nextcloud window, forcing to do 2 more actions thant previously nessassary.
I use this option on a daily basis and would appreciate to get it back please.

we might look into this on the future but that was removed because the previous implementation had deep technical issues that would have been very hard to resolve
I am sorry for the extra mouse actions you have to do and be sure that we did remove it due to technical issues with the implementation that really were causing other issues

Thank you, Matthieu, for this clearing statement, I'm not against some extra mouse actions, but this path comes with other issues. I'm with NC Desktop 3.15.3 (native version) and Linux Mint 21.3 up to date.

• Some button colors are barely visible (nearly full white)
• new share link button is still displayed even if a share link is already active, in other words I can't access the active share link, i have to create a new one.
• also unshare a folder/file sometimes leads to a client crash

Of course I can use the web client as a workaround and i use it a lot.
I'm just feeling that NC Desktop has been giving some hard time for several weeks or month, i'm not sure, plus the recent issues with the android client when two-way sync was activated by default.

I just hope you'll understand that the quick "share public link" removal has kind of disrupted some workflows and it can't be easily replaced due to some significant issues.

..., I don't even know what you mean with "share public link" in right clic menu or "share options" ? From where? Where do you right clck?

A little while ago we were able to create a public link of a synced file/folder through the context menu but now it's gone so you won't see it.

@Go-rom do you know since what version of nextcloud-client? You are talking about Windows , correct?
I am using older version 3.13.4 since later versions are causing this problem described here: https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues/7372]

Well, then I don't understand. As I already wrote I am using Nextcloud client ver. 3.13.4 ( older version becouse the newer ones are almost unusable due to the problem on the link I postet above - by the way, the link is not working correctly, I tried to edit it but it wont open correct link - if you copy the link's text and open it in new tab then it is OK.)

With version 3.13.4, I dont see possibility to "to create a public link of a synced file/folder through the context menu" when I'm in my sync folder on Windows computer I cant see that option in context menu...??

I have finally realised what is the difference in right click context menu. And yes the older version of Nextcloud clients context menu is more convenient. Since it is a bit tricky to do screenshots while the context menu is opened I recorded a short video which can be watched on the link below:
