I am very excited to announce Ogma 1.6.0. This major release updates Ogma to be able to extract data from XML files, including standard formats used in MBSE tools, provides a new
diagram
command capable of generating state machine implementations from diagrams, makes the ROS and F' backend able to use any JSON- or XML files as input, makes the ROS, F', standalone backends capable of using literal Copilot expressions in requirements and state transitions, and extends Ogma to be able to use external tools to translate requirements, including LLMs, and makes the F' backend able to use templates. Ogma now allows users to provide custom definitions for XML and JSON formats unknown to the tool, and we've fixed a couple of smaller maintenance issues, and we've upgraded the README to include instructions for external contributors. This constitutes the single largest release of Ogma in number of new features added, since its first release.
For details on this release, see: https://github.com/nasa/ogma/releases/tag/v1.6.0.
As always, we're releasing 2 months since the last release. Our next release is scheduled for Mar 21th, 2025.
Current emphasis is on making Ogma more versatile, facilitating connections with other tools, supporting new formats, and supporting new frameworks and use cases, and developing a new frontend. Users are encouraged to participate by opening issues and asking questions in this discussions section.
