What are the trust assumptions in iroh-gossip?

I watched today the YT video showing chat demo and I'm trying to figure out some properties of iroh-gossip:

• Is there any way to have a gossip group where only some peers can publish, while the other ones only receive?
• What are the trust assumptions? What if someone connects their own evil iroh-gossip fork to the swarm. If they start spamming will they get rate limited somehow? If they have enough peers, how easy is for them to disrupt the communication, etc.?

AFAIK, iroh-gossip hasn't been hardened against malicious activity yet, there's still some room to grow for it. We roughly know what we need to do for that, it's just a lot of work.

No, we don't have this feature yet. I'd love to see a version of iroh-gossip that has been "turned inside out" a bit from an API perspective, to make these kinds of things possible. No plans though, just my personal opinion at this point.
