Someone in chat pointed out that https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/wiki/Symbolic-Links also exists as a resources, which motivated parts of the last commit. Regarding the policy editor stuff there, I'm wondering what the "best practice" is for a managed company environment. Do they use dev-mode too nowadays, or is the git4win wiki section still relevant? For private use the dev mode seems the simplest at least, so I'm not mentioning anything else atm, to not make it too complicated. If anyone has any insight into that let me know. |
