Overview

Extra Practice is a powerful userscript that allows you to create custom practice sessions for radicals and kanji at your current WaniKani level. I wanted to study the radicals and kanji at my current level but couldn't find anything that met my needs. This tool helps you reinforce your learning by providing focused, flexible review opportunities.

Installation

Prerequisites

• WaniKani Account
• Tampermonkey or Greasemonkey browser extension
• WaniKani Open Framework

Steps

1. Install a userscript manager:

   • Tampermonkey (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox)
   • Greasemonkey (Firefox)

2. Click "Raw" on the script file or copy the entire script

3. Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey will automatically detect and prompt you to install

Usage

On the WaniKani Dashboard

1. Look for new "Practice" buttons next to Radicals and Kanji sections
2. Click "Practice" to start a custom review session
3. Select the specific Mode and Radicals/Kanji you want to practice
4. Begin your review!
