  • Arc boosts are JS + CSS. However, hue changes are applied directly in the render engine instead.
  • "Share link" button for Boosts uploads it as arc.net/boost/UUID
  • Arc install popup doesn't detect Arc. Instead, when a boost page is loaded in Arc, Arc hijacks the Add Boost button to open a native dialog.

Seems to be done in native code because I tried constant dumping Arc and didn't see it

A couple months ago I tried running Arc in a VM with Proxyman and I never saw any requests for boosts

BCNY uses Proxyman internally, so maybe they found a way to hide requests from it
