is effective TRADING (ie buy and sell stocks) possible to be done through the API please ?

Please check your eToro developer account first. If you don't have one that is activated, you won't be able to use any of the APIs. You can also find there what APIs can be used.

No its not possible, you are able to use pytrader for metatrader though if you like python.
