Ah nvm, I just found this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/gaming/gdk/_content/gc/input/overviews/input-overview and this: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/games/articles/2021/07/meet-the-microsoft-game-developer-kit-gdk/ which seems to indicate that at least GameInput will become more open, seeing as it'll be part of the Windows SDK in the future |

I'm curious if this is a library that can be used by open-source projects, assuming no distribution of the .lib files, e.g only in source form?
I took a brief look at the license and from what I understand the answer would be no, but that feels a bit weird to me considering the GDK is publicly and freely available, at least for PC development.
If it's not allowed, will it ever be? Would be a shame if the GameInput library can never be used by open source projects, since it's a really nice API.
