Research consultation & instruction database (rid) overview

The Research Consultation & Instruction Database (RID) is a tool for collecting data about interactions between librarians and students, faculty, and other people seeking assistance from the library.

There are two categories of interaction: Consultations and Instructional sessions. Consultations are one on one interactions between a library and the consultee, while instructional sessions are meetings with a larger group such as the members of a specific course or academic department.

Users can create transactions using a web form, or download an Excel spreadsheet and save the data for bulk uploading. They can also search transactions by date, Pennkey, or a number of other parameters.
