I also have questions, In the article "Time-Spectral Adjoint Approach for Aerodynamic Shape Optimization Under Periodic Wakes" Does actuatordisk in the current version correspond to actuatorpoint? I found the setup to be more similar to actuatorpoint |

Unfortunately, this case is outdated, and we do not support this capability anymore.... Yes, we used the actuator point to run this case. |

The actuator line and actuator point still work with time accurate simulation ? Is there any case file exemple for that kind of analysis? |

Yes, the actuator line should still work in DAPimpleFoam. But you won't be able to use its parameters as design variables. |

Dear Professor Ping He and all,
I am trying to understand whether DAFOAM has the capability to optimize a wing while considering its unsteady behavior in the presence of a propeller. In my search, I came across the paper "Time-Spectral Adjoint Approach for Aerodynamic Shape Optimization Under Periodic Wakes."
I would love to learn how to set up this approach in DAFOAM to explore the results. Could you guide me to tutorials that use these techniques or share some of the code utilized? Additionally, I would like to know whether the same techniques can be applied to a 3D wing.
Best regards
