I am a postdoctoral researcher in sociology at the médialab of Sciences Po Paris. I am currently working under the supervision of Jean-Philippe Cointet on the "Communs Démocratiques"project, funded by the BPI and conducted in partnership with CEVIPOF, ISIR, and Make.org. By intersecting various disciplines (digital sociology, political theory, computer science), the project aims to study the uses of LLMs in participatory democracy frameworks and identify their potential biases in relation to democratic principles (e.g., respect for pluralism of opinions, fairness in the treatment of citizen contributions, etc.).
Before joining the "Communs Démocratiques" project, I completed a PhD in sociology on the reception and sharing of fake news in the digital information ecosystem under the supervision of Dominique Cardon and Sophie Pène. My thesis was defended on December 5, 2024 at the Université Paris-Cité. Through two surveys conducted on Twitter and Facebook, each combining quantitative and qualitative methods, my thesis highlights the social mechanisms that shape users' reactions to fake news on social networks, particularly those that encourage or hinder their ability to maintain critical distance.
