General problems in tracking prospective clients

1. List of prospective clients along with engagement details being pursued (we call it "lead")
2. What is the status of lead.
3. Which partner/ manager is pursuing the lead.
4. Prioritizing the lead basis probability of conversion
5. Track when to call the lead.
6. Jot down all the notes pertaining to discussion which each and every team member had with the prospective client.

Why we cannot add leads in Client Master

1. It will mess up the Client master. Client master is supposed to be sacrosanct list of active clients to whom we provide services.

Using Jamku for lead management

If you wish to stick to Jamku for lead tracking, here are some of the tips and tricks which will ensure your client master is not bloated with prospective clients.

1. Create a client called Prospective Client
2. Create a Service called Lead (keep the name small)
3. Now for every lead, create a Task under Prospective Client, where service will be Lead.
4. In task name 2 mention Client Name and Engagement Details seperated by : colon.
   Example: Abc Ltd: Project report

Now you get all the features you require

1. Assign task to the partner / manager who is looking after this lead
2. As long as the lead is active the status is Going.
3. If the lead is converted, mark the task as completed. If the lead is not converted, mark status as Ignore.
4. For priority, use Task Priority
5. If you wish to track additional details about the lead (example: who referred the lead), create custom field in the Service Lead.
6. If there are actions to be done by multiple users, use Todo Module to keep track of this and assign the todo to that user.

Other software solutions

1. Trello (Free version is sufficient)
   This is by far the most simplest, ease to use and best suited for tracking leads.
2. Zoho Leads (12,000 INR per user per year)
   Have all the features which you will need, but pricing can be barrier
3. HubSpot (40,500 INR for 2 users per year)
   More features than Zoho, but very steep price.
