## Summary

Toitū Te Whenua has decided to store all metadata _uncompressed,_ including GeoJSON.

## Arguments

Pro compression:

- Saves money on storage
- Saves time and money on transfer of data

Contra compression:

- Some tools do not seamlessly decompress files
