Update environment

DataSHIELD setup consists of 3 components:

• DataSHIELD clientside packages (hosted on the central analysis server)
• Opal (hosted on the several nodes in the network)
• DataSHIELD serverside packages (contained in and managed by Opal)

Updating DataSHIELD serverside packages

If you need to upgrade to a new version of the DataSHIELD serverside packages there are a few prerequiaites:

• You need to run at least Opal 2.15.x.
• You need to be administrator on the instance

If you have met the requirements you can either follow the instructions in this video: upgrade DataSHIELD serverside packages. Or follow the instructions below:

1. Login to the Opal instance as administrator
2. Select the "Administration"-tab
3. Select the "DataSHIELD"-tab
4. Select the "Delete all"-button above the DataSHIELD packages
5. Select "Yes"
6. Select the "Add packages"-button
7. Select the "Install all DataSHIELD packages"-option
8. Select the "Install"-button
