when i try to restore it. it ask for a password. the confirm button is gray. i can not remember that i set the stupid password because no other people can access to my backup. now, my coins just locked. i remember i have spent about $500 hundreds on btc and then exchange them into doge. i guess there is a lot of doge in the wallet. but i cant restore it so i have no public address now. i also followed the advice from #26 , but it does not work. when i open it with textpad, it is not in plaintext. it is a string of 240 byte staring with "U2FsdGVkX19Hq+Z/xMCLFK4Ls4UrndDwxt***************" i think it still encrypted? how can i fix this problem? @langerhans
is this a bug? why do you allow me make backup without password if you 100% ask for a password? this is tricky or a scam wallet?
if any one can fix this problem. i would offer a bounty of 50% of the final balance in the wallet. you only need transfer my part to my new address and keep the rest. please anyone can help?

Hey @doge2021 have you had any luck with this yet?
From what you are describing it looks like you are still looking at the encrypted backup and have not successfully decrypted the wallet.
If you are still struggling with that message back and I might have some additional questions to help get more info about this.
thank you for your reply. i guess there is a bug in the wallet for early versions. it asks for a password which does not exist at all. i just googled and asked stephen from https://btc2doge.org to decrypt my backup. i do asked him to decrypt the empty wallet first. then it works. but doge price down a lot recently. shit... lol
