Sublime Portage

Sublime Portage is a Sublime Text package to support the Portage package manager.

Installation

Installation through Package Control

  1. Make sure you installed Package Control.
  2. Choose Install Package from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows & Linux, ⇧⌘P on Mac OS X).
  3. Select Portage and press Enter.

Additionally, with auto_upgrade enabled, Package Control will keep all installed packages up-to-date.

Manual installation

  1. Download any .tmTheme file from this repository.
  2. Choose Browse Packages from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows & Linux, ⇧⌘P on Mac OS X).
  3. Copy the .tmTheme file(s) to the Packages directory.

Building

To build the package by yourself, you need:

First, install the required dependencies.

Installing the dependencies globally

This requires super user prileges (using sudo in this example):

sudo pip install -r requirements.txt

Installing the dependencies locally

This does not require super user prileges. On most systems, local dependencies are installed in ~/.local.

pip install -r requirements.txt --user

You may now build the package.

If the default Python binary is 3.4 or newer, and you installed the dependencies globally:

inv build

If the default Python binary is not 3.4 or newer, or you installed the dependencies locally.

In this example, we assume that python3.4 is the name of the Python 3.4 binary, and we assume that local dependencies are installed in ~/.local:

python3.4 ~/.local/bin/inv build
