Hello @kormax , thank you for sharing this project.

I would like to ask, what NFC reader is used to develop this system? Can all NFC readers support it, or are there certain specifications that must be met?

Thank you in advance!

I cannot answer in any official capacity, but as to my knowledge, Google, unlike Apple, does not enforce any specific hardware limitations on partners that want to implement Smart Tap compatible readers.

Apart from the obvious requirements to maintain good reader RF performance & tuning.

That is, if you're asking about developing a "certified" reader.

For non-licensed use cases, there's nothing limiting you from implementing smart tap support on any reader that provides API for ISODEP/ISO7816 or lower-level based NFC communication.

Issuing SmartTap passes is also not a problem, as it's possible without a special approval from Google.

No.

But you can tell me what you're planning on using, and I can confirm if it's possible at all.
